Carmarthen Deli are a family-run business based in Carmarthen Market. They plan to move to new units, aiming to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.

 

This project explored how we could support them in integrating innovative technology, such as waste heat recovery systems, to lower carbon emissions at the new site. Additionally, Innovation Net Zero examined a circular economy approach to recycling bone waste and reviewed potential uses for bone broth or fertilizer development with local companies. By incorporating these sustainable practices, the business not only aims to enhance its environmental performance but also to create new revenue streams and partnerships with local businesses. This holistic approach ensures long-term sustainability and economic viability for the business and its local partners.
