UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £9.5 million for Quantum Computing and Quantum Networks projects. The aim of this competition is to accelerate Quantum Computing and Quantum Networks technologies by increasing their capabilities and removing technological barriers to their commercialisation and adoption.
Projects must identify one or more key technological barriers or limitations and propose an innovative project that will address them. Applications must outline a plan to further develop and exploit the solution within the UK. Projects must exploit the capabilities of second generation quantum technologies. These are defined as those involving the generation and coherent control of quantum states, resulting in phenomena such as superposition or entanglement.

Innovate UK, as part of UK Research and Innovation, will invest up to £16 million in 4 large scale creative industries demonstrator projects through the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF). This is part of the Audience of the Future (AotF) programme. This competition aims to explore future global, mass market, commercial opportunities in the creative industries. Primarily this will be through pre-commercial collaboration at scale. You must demonstrate you can significantly improve on the current state of the art in your field. Proposals must include access to globally recognised intellectual property (IP) and reach an audience of 100,000 people. They must detail how the project will generate consumer insight at scale. UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £750,000 for projects that grow their innovation activities in the net zero industrial cluster in South West Wales. The aim of this competition is to support outstanding innovation projects led by businesses.
Your business must use the funding to grow your innovation activities in the net zero industrial cluster in Southwest Wales, both during and after the project. This region consists of Carmarthenshire, Neath-Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Swansea. Your project can focus on the markets for industrial decarbonisation in Southwest Wales and globally. Your project’s total eligible grant funding request must be between £150,000 and £750,000.

UK registered organisations can apply for a share of up to £4.5 million in total across the two stages of this competition to create new or improved clean energy access in sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia or the Indo-Pacific regions.
The aim of this competition is to accelerate the innovations needed to create new or improved clean energy access in sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia or Indo-Pacific regions. Creating a just and inclusive energy transition by integrating gender equality, disability, and social inclusion to ensure we are extending the benefits of clean energy to all to meet the sustainable development goals (SDGs) 7 and 13. Your project’s total eligible costs must be between £50,000 and £300,000.

Projects must demonstrate:

UK registered organisations can apply for a share of up to £30 million for innovative clean maritime technologies and skills. This funding is from the Department for Transport. The Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition (CMDC) Round 6 is part of a suite of interventions launched by the UK Shipping Office for Reducing Emissions (UK SHORE). UK SHORE aims to transform the UK into a global leader in the design and manufacturing of clean maritime technology. These will be to carry out innovative pre-deployment trials and feasibility studies. The aim of Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition Round 6 is to fund pre-deployment trials and feasibility studies into clean maritime technologies and skills that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £1.5 million for projects that grow their innovation activities in the agri-tech and food technology cluster in Mid and North Wales.
The aim of this competition is to support outstanding innovation projects led by businesses. Your business must be growing your innovation activities in the agri-tech and food technology cluster in Mid and North Wales. For this competition, Mid and North Wales consists of Ceredigion, Powys, Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham.
Projects must focus on innovation in agri-tech or food technology.
Projects must contribute to growing innovation activities in the cluster, both during and after the project.

Competition closes: 2025
Welsh Government has launched a £10m Circular Economy Fund to support projects that will grow the economy and address the climate emergency. Funding is available for businesses, research organisations, third sector organisations, and health boards in Wales. Aligned with the Welsh Government’s Net Zero Wales and Circular Economy strategy, Beyond Recycling, the Circular Economy Fund will support organisations moving towards a net zero carbon economy. The funding will support investment in manufacturing processes to increase the use of recycled and re-used content in products or components, or to extend the lifetime of products and materials. The level of support provided for individual projects will depend on the organisation applying and the type of project proposed. As an example, businesses may be awarded up to £200,000 per year for two years, with a 50% intervention rate.
