Development and delivery of a novel innovation programme funded by UK Government: Innovation Net Zero
Innovation Strategy developed an innovative programme to support Welsh businesses net zero and circular economy concepts. The programme fosters collaboration and investment and drives the adoption of green solutions to promote growth.
Innovation Net Zero provides world leading advisory and unique access to innovation specialists, multinational corporations and thought leaders to allow businesses to explore and test innovative concepts for eventual deployment and commercialisation. The programme creates an innovation ecosystem focused on net zero and circular economy approaches. Innovation Net Zero supports local businesses to promote growth and protect our environment for future generations.
Innovation Net Zero supports businesses to develop their net zero and circular economy concepts with fully funded support including access to expertise and resources from the partnership and can be used for various purposes including research and analysis, short feasibility studies, R&D roadmapping and more.
The programme has been designed to address local objectives and strategies and builds on sectorial strengths across localities. Innovation Net Zero aligns with Carmarthenshire's Economic Recovery and Delivery Plan supporting the safeguarding of jobs and businesses. It also supports aims of the Southwest Wales Regional Economic Delivery Plan and Innovation Prospects for Carmarthenshire by enabling local businesses to exploit their net zero concepts. For the Vale of Glamorgan Innovation Net Zero aligns with their Climate Change Challenge Plan and the Cardiff Capital Region Goals by fostering the growth of the net zero economy. On a national level the programme is closely aligned with creating a prosperous and resilient Wales as set out in the 2015 Well-being of Future Generations Act.
